Mayor Ken Sim pushes for full disclosure of councillor compensation

Vancouver, BC — The ABC Majority continues to prove that its policies deliver results. Mayor Ken Sim is advancing a motion to ensure every dollar connected to Vancouver’s city council members is disclosed to the public.

Under the proposed motion, all forms of compensation will be published, including base salaries, per diems, allowances, travel costs, and income from outside roles.

“Public trust depends on transparency,” said Mayor Sim. “Vancouver residents deserve a clear and complete picture of how their elected officials are compensated. This motion is about building accountability and reinforcing confidence in City Hall.”

The ABC Majority has consistently prioritized open, responsible governance. By strengthening disclosure requirements, Mayor Sim and the ABC Team are working to ensure Vancouver leads the way in accountability and public trust.
