Christian Kyle
Vancouver Park Board Candidate
Christian Kyle is running for Park Board with ABC Vancouver.
Christian Kyle is a young professional and lifelong East Vancouver resident. Christian holds a degree from the University of British Columbia in Geological Engineering. In his time there, he served as the Vice-President and President of the Engineering Society, President of the Student Union (AMS), and he currently serves as a Convocation Senator representing over 400,000 Alumni, current, or emeriti faculty at the Vancouver campus.
Christian is a lifelong enjoyer of Vancouver’s parks, beaches, and community centres. He’s never missed a Christmas or Halloween train at Stanley Park, and has played rugby, soccer, baseball, or another sport at just about every field in the city.
Beyond his roles at the University of British Columbia, Christian has held leadership positions in numerous youth organizations, where he has been a champion for mental health, public safety, and affordability.
As a teenager, Christian stepped on a needle at Andy Livingstone Park at a soccer practice, which required him to receive years of blood tests. This experience led to him becoming a strong advocate for safe and clean parks. If elected to the Park Board, Christian will dedicate himself fully to keeping our public spaces safe and functional for all Vancouverites to treat as their third spaces.
