It has been a wild ride this past year. Your ABC team has enacted some major legislation and culture changes here in Vancouver. It has been an action-packed year, but let’s not forget where we were as a City a year ago.
Just one year ago, our police, firefighters, and other civic safety services were chronically underfunded, Council was at a standstill and unable to pass anything with a common-sense mindset. We had a Mayor who despised the very police who were protecting us while public disorder was at peak levels, leading to the near-collapse of Chinatown and an overflowing encampment on the downtown east side.
Since coming into office on November 7th, 2022, your Mayor, Ken Sim, and an ABC majority council has sought to turn the page on the previous four years of disastrous governance. Ken and his ABC team have done some amazing things in only twelve months including:
- Stopping the Road Tax
- Hiring 100 new police officers
- Fully funding our Firefighters for the first time in 8 years
- Fully funding our Police for the first time in 15 years
- Revitalizing Chinatown

Although we are still 3 years out from the next election, work has already started to prepare the groundwork. Campaigns are very expensive: office rental, phones, lawn signs, brochures and advertising all add up. Ken and his ABC team cannot do it alone. They need you to step up for Vancouver and show your support by DONATING.
