ABC Delivers on Affordability, Safety, and Accountability at October Council Meetings

Vancouver, BC ABC Vancouver is highlighting a series of important wins at Council following meetings on October 7 and 8. Each decision reflects the  commitment to delivering a safer, more affordable, and well-run city for Vancouver residents and families.

Recent ABC Majority Council Results:

  • Mental Health Crisis Response Program – Making a Real Difference in community safety
  • Zero Means Zero — Council directs staff to hold the line on a zero percent property tax increase for 2026
  • VanStat Launched — a new transparency and performance tracking tool to measure results across city services
  • Champlain Heights Forest Protected — Council votes to preserve the trail network from development.
  • Accessibility and Participation Enhanced — new measures make City Hall more inclusive and open to residents.
  • Next Stop UBC — motion passed to push senior governments to accelerate the Broadway SkyTrain extension.
  • Code of Conduct Strengthened — reforms approved to improve enforcement and accountability at City Hall.
