• Began the process to pilot a Culturally Appropriate, Indigenous-led Supportive Housing and Wellness Centre
• Increased the quality and quantities of livable housing units, ABC announced 90 new housing spaces
• On July 13th, Council approved zoning to allow for 600+ units of new social housing
• On Sept 14th, Council allowed multiplexes across all low density residential zones in the City of Vancouver
• On Oct 18th, Council promised to accelerate housing by moving forward with the implementation and pre-zoning of the 26 Village Areas, increasing density around under-developed SkyTrain stations, and allowing for greater design flexibility for residential towers to unlock more housing

• Hired 100 new police officers
• Adopted the IHRA working definition of Anti-Semitism
• Began the implementation of a VPD “Body Worn Camera”
• Steps taken to hire 100 new mental health workers to pair with our police
• On Feb 5, the announcement of the Council approving a $2.8M grant to Vancouver Coastal Health to hire 58 new mental health workers
• On Feb 14, the Council voted unanimously to approve a $2.8M grant to VCH (Vancouver Coastal Health) to significantly scale up frontline mental health crisis response in Vancouver
• Fully funded our Firefighters for the first time in 8 years to ensure our fire rescue services are fully resourced and benchmarked against a consistent North American Standard

Design, Planning, and Transportation:

• Supported increased density along the Hastings Corridor to provide new housing options and economic opportunities by moving a BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) on Hastings 
• Turned on the decorative water fountains;
• Directed staff to explore locations and recommendations for a Scramble Crossing Pilot Trial 
• Engaged in a review of the city’s accessibility audits
  • On April 3, the announcement of the creation of a new task force to review the city’s budget and spending in order to find efficiencies and new opportunities

• Voted to create hundreds of new childcare spaces combined with essential workforce housing using prefabricated buildings located on public land
• Harmonised the City’s childcare policies and guidelines to align with the Province

• Opened a Civic Office in Chinatown and named it after Vancouver civil rights trailblazer Won Alexander Cumyow
• Invested in Chinatown’s revival with over $3.4 million in grants

School and Park Board Priorities

• Brought back the SLO (School Liaison Officer) program to keep everyone in schools safe

• Invited the City of Vancouver Auditor General to undertake a full audit of the Park Board
• Administered the successful 2023 Alcohol in Beaches pilot program followed by successfully making the Alcohol in Parks program permanent and year-round for the 22 parks
• Lifted the moratorium on new commercial event initiatives in Vancouver parks

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Reconciliation, Climate Action & Sustainability:

• Added an Equity Lens Review of City By-laws
• Adopted the Age-friendly Cities framework
• Announced a project in partnership with Indigenous Peoples
• Approved a strategy to advance the planting of 100,000 trees by 2026
