Scott Jensen is a long-time Vancouver resident who currently lives Downtown with his wife, Patricia Wu, and his dog, Benson DuBois.

Scott is passionate about education. He has worked both as a support worker and teacher with the Vancouver School Board for the past 13 years at Lord Strathcona Elementary and Admiral Seymour Elementary in the Downtown East Side. In his capacity as a teacher at these schools, he successfully advocated for community donations; was selected to visit Parliament in 2020; was nominated for the Premier’s Awards for Excellence in Education; and was honoured to virtually host the Governor General of Canada in his classroom.

Scott cares deeply about the power of sport and is an avid lacrosse player, he has been involved in coaching lacrosse for much of his life. He is the Vice Chair of Coaches with the British Columbia Lacrosse Association, an executive with both Tri-City Master Lacrosse and Vancouver Master Lacrosse. He has coached in Richmond, Vancouver, New Westminster and with Vancouver College. In 2005, he was a part of the New Westmister Salmonbellies Junior A team coaching staff which was awarded the Coaches of the Year Award.

Scott loves Vancouver and spending time going on walks with Patricia and Benson DuBois along the seawall and throughout downtown. If elected to Park Board, he will focus his attention on ensuring we are investing in our parks and community centres; that parks are safe and well-maintained; and that our parks are a hub for arts, culture and community.
